Level 50:
- Corellia (The Black Hole), inlcuding dailies Check the Holonet Terminal near the Smuggler Hanger door. (May contain spoilers for your class quests) Check the Priority Missions terminal, too.
- Section X, inclujding dailies. Talk to General Conlath on the fleet, around the corner from the GTN. There is also a mission from the Priority Mission terminal.
After Chapter Three:
Level 50+ :
- Ilum quest line and Dailies. You will receive a mission called "Crystal Ball" when you finish chapter three. This takes you to the fleet, where you talk to Lt. Ha'laa, near the Smuggler Hangar door. (You must travel to the fleet via your ship)
- Belsavis Bonus Series ("Quarantine Failure") and then Dailies, use the Mission Terminal next to Lt. Ha'laa.
You cannot get the Ilum quest or the Belsavis Bonus Series until you’ve finished your class quest, but you may go to the planet and pick up the daily missions.
The Ilum quest line gives you some more story, and leads you through the Battle of Ilum and The False Emperor. If you enjoy getting the story in order, it's worth doing.
Level 50:
- Makeb (Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion) - At level 47 your ship's terminal will show the quest symbol, and you can pick up the mission ("Trouble in Paradise") to Makeb. This may be a SPOILER for your class story! Once you accept the Makeb mission, it cannot be abandoned!
Level 52: Seeker Droid and Macrobinocular missions may be picked up on the fleet, from the droids located near the Cartel Bazaar entrance.
Level 55:
- Oricon - Start with the Priority Mission terminal and pick up "The Darkest Tide", then talk to O6-D5 in the Supply Section to start the quest. (This droid is also in Section X and CZ-198)
- CZ-198 (Czerka) - RK-C3 in the GTN Section is the starting point for the Czerka missions.
- Shadow of Revan (Rishi & Yavin IV) - "Prelude: Shadow of Revan" (formerly known as "Forged Alliances") begins with the droid T3-G2 near the Mission Departures elevator on the fleet. You may start this from your ship's terminal. (the terminal quest will send you to the droid)
- Rise of the Emperor (Ziost) - Start with your ship's terminal.

- Ilum quest line and Dailies. You should receive a mission called "First Strike" when you finish chapter three. This takes you to the fleet, where you talk to T9-M6, near the Sith Inquisitor hangar door.
- Belsavis Bonus Series and then Dailies, use the Mission Terminal at the south end of the inner ring of the spacedock.

Tython, Ord Mantell, and Coruscant are Republic only.
Korriban, Hutta, and Dromund Kass are Empire only.
Balmorra and Taris exist for both factions, but they are separate instances. They are at different levels, and things are not in the same places. You won’t see players of the opposite faction on these planets.
The rest of the planets are shared, however each faction has its own landing area or spaceport. Bases and taxis are faction specific, and are guarded by level 50 Champion NPCs, usually turrets. Some areas are faction specific, and entering the enemy’s territory will flag you for PvP. It is possible to map the entire planet, although it may entail some quick turn arounds and suicide runs!
Some of the shared planets have areas that are only accessible by one faction. On Tatooine, Imperials may not enter Anchorhead, and Republic players cannot enter Mos Illa. On Corellia, the Blastfield Shipyards are Republic only, while Incorporation Islands are Imperial.
There are some areas that are only accessible by taxi, such as those on Courscant and Nar Shaddaa, although each of those has two areas you can walk between. Anchorhead and Mos Illa on Tatooine are isolated, and each sector of Corellia is separated and you must take the rocket tram to travel between them.
Nar Shaddaa is a little weird. The map appears the same for each faction, but the names are different in some areas. Some areas are shared, and there’s a contested area where you’ll get flagged for PvP. Each faction has its own taxi pads and quick travel points. There are a lot of levels to the different sectors that are not shown on the main map!
